Type Locality and Naming

The type section is located at Nanshan (Mt.), Honghutu River, Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province. It was named by Tong Zhifang et al. in 1970, and formally cited Regional Geology of Heilongjiang Province in 1989.


Lithology and Thickness

Volcanic Tuff. Lower part is composed of vitric tuff and other tuffs, containing brachiopods. Upper part is dominated by rhyolitic crystal and vitric tuffs, intercalated with pebbled tuff. Thickness > 985 m.
